By using the Ebbex “Front-end approach,” we allocate enough time to get the user experience right before transitioning into the coding phase. Our “Front-end approach” has three steps:
1. Blueprint
Discovery Meeting:
We will conduct an initial Discovery Meeting where our team will ask questions to better understand the objective of your app, your company, your users, and your brand and technical requirements. Depending of the complexity of the project, we will then build an architectural scope which details the technical operating environment of the app and specifies how your app will tie into existing databases, servers, websites or third party systems.
Wireframes and Flow:
We will identify possible user scenarios and define the general layout of the screens. This is an iterative process that will include your input. At this time, you will be responsible for providing us with any copy that will be included in your app.
Obsession Document:
We will create a document describing all of the app’s internal logic and external interactions. At this point, we will know exactly how your app will behave. Once the Blueprint step is approved, we will move into the Design step.
2. Design
Discovery Meeting:
Begins by understanding what visual elements you like and what you envision your app looking like. We will ask you questions that will help you pinpoint what elements you like, and most importantly, identify why particular elements are appealing to you:
Are you partial to a more modern clean look or do you prefer a vintage look?
Do you like shadowing and 3D effects or do you prefer a clean flat look?
What apps do you dislike, which do you use everyday?
Visual Collage:
After the the discovery conversation, you will have the responsibility of creating a collage comprised of snapshots of apps and websites that are appealing to you a design perspective.
We will assist you on how to build the collage and give you a couple of examples as guidelines.
The conversation and the collage will give us a very clear idea of what you would like your app to look like.
Design Theme
Working with you, we will select the app’s essential UIs (from the wire frames) and begin designing the theme.
This step is very collaborative, as we will show you the designs for your approval.
Most of the time, we can all agree on the design theme on the first or second iteration since we have had many discovery conversations. Nevertheless, part of the Ebbex promise is to do as many revisions as needed until you can approve and sign off on the designs.
After signing off, you will know your app’s look and feel as we go onto the coding phase.
After design sign off but before coding, we will apply the design theme to the non essential UIs and prepare all visual assets for coding.
